Ludhiana: District Administration Ludhiana has developed a Mobile App through which the patients can apply online for home isolation.
This Aap ‘Home Isolation Ludhiana’ is available on Google Play Store (for Android phones) and would be launched on the iOS platform (for iphones) in next few days. This app can also be downloaded by visiting web link, https://homeisolationpunjab.in.
Earlier, the residents who were tested positive for COVID-19 had to visit government hospitals to apply for home isolation, but now they can do so by simply using this mobile app from their homes.
Any patient will simply have to make a home video showing a separate room, attached bathroom and a caretaker. Once the application is submitted, the patient would be able to select a time slot when he/she wants to visit the Covid Care Centre set up at Meritorious School, Ludhiana, for checkup before receiving official approval for home isolation.
In case, the patient is not feeling well, his/her attendant can also visit the Meritorious School, Ludhiana for final approval.
Deputy Commissioner Varinder Kumar Sharma informed that only asymptomatic patients below 60 years age with mild symptoms would be eligible to apply for home isolation. He also urged the residents to submit only correct information while applying for home isolation.
This is the second mobile app launched by the district administration in last few days. On August 9, a mobile app “HBMS Punjab” through which residents can check real time status of vacant beds in both private and government hospitals, was launched.
People can check the status of vacant beds on official web link “https://ludhiana.nic.in/notice/covid-19-bed-status-in-ludhiana-district/” or “www.hbmspunjab.in“. A list of all private hospitals offering Covid care has been uploaded on the app as well as the web links.
